31st January - 4th Feb storm reports
Please use this thread to post your storm reports.
This morning we woke to a bitter wind and a good ground frost, now the wind has picked up quite a bit the wind chimes in the garden are going nuts :lol:, the artic blast is now taking hold, things could get very interesting as the night progresses and well in to the next few days, will keep you informed. Certainly being kept awake at the moment by 70mph gusts. Was woken up by my Oregon storm alarm at about 01:45 and since then the wind has been pretty noisy. Looks like the lorries are being diverted from the Britannia to the Menai Bridge.

Hi folks
Well got woke by the hail storm this morning which was fun now we have a blizzard whoo hoo, we are looking at between 20 - 30 cm of snow so I may still get to try out the snow chains :lol: The winds have subsided at the moment but we are going to see more gale force winds tomorrow. winds nasty around here to - was very wild last nite with lashing rain and heavy winds - no snow as of yet:(but the wind is very cold so you never know - met office satalite looks rather interesting to what is developing in the coast around the top of our country -

Im seeing all kinds of different reports??? The Met Office has South wales in the red, then theres the dreadful snow reports but the bbc are giving a sunny day on friday? Who's right? Whats happening on friday in Neath / Port Talbot?

Currently very stormy here in oxfordshire, trees virtually bending in half (well the younger ones) wouldn't hazard a guess to the windspeed, also raining moderately but combined with the wind it's not a day to be out unless you're chasing. :D

Last night.... high winds, and my wind chime is kaboodled:lol:, I live on one of the higher points so I'm never flooded but the winds, it gets even worse as you go up to the school situated on the hills.
this morning heavy rain high winds, had one heck of a hail storm in the past hour! All gone quiet atm......seen a stip of blue sky in between the bad stuff, thats always a nice sight. if not a strange one. |

an image of the current depression forming of the coast of scotland - checking the metoffice shipping index for them parts they are showing force 10/11 with hurricane force 12 iminent - this looks to be a major storm heading right for scotland. |

we had a passing slete shower in teesside - winds got up quite high - had to go outside to see it myself and it got a little wild - met office predicting nothing for round here but them winds sure were wild and im in a built up area so well protected - it is passing and geting calmer - winds still strong but calming now.

yeah the winds nasty around here too, and are very wild here in dorset. hope we get some snow in the south on Friday good news the met says
Heavy, sometimes wintry showers will spread southwards, turning increasingly to snow at low levels during the afternoon. Feeling very cold in strong north to northwesterly winds .good luck all cheers nick bournemouth dorset.
